Edge of Everything: The Inevitable Return of Stevie Nicks

“Sometimes when you wake up in the morning and you go, Does anybody get it? If I died tomorrow, what would go on? Did I actually touch people? Did I make a wave here? In the last couple of years, I have actually started to say to myself, Yes, you did. You have actually made a wave, and it has swept over a lot of people. It’s opening doors for you to step up, into whatever you want that isn’t even rock ’n’ roll anymore.

For more than a decade, Ginsburg has worked with a trainer in the Supreme Court’s small ground-level exercise room. Recently, Breyer used a machine that Ginsburg had been using; she set it at six, while he could handle only five. Kagan uses the same trainer as Ginsburg, and when the younger Justice struggles with fifteen-pound curls the trainer says, ‘C’mon! Justice Ginsburg can do that easily!’

I believe this to be a young Amy Fleetwood, Mick’s eldest daughter, in the arms of Stevie Nicks. This picture captures a moment of solitude, while flying on the band’s tour plane. In answer to one of our follower’s questions, yes, I believe she would’ve made a good mother & this picture serves as an example of that.

An intimate moment captured on film as I happened to pass by. Perhaps its fitting that the light streaming through the window reflects the aura of deep love still lingering in their hearts. Enough said, I don’t want the words to distract from the beauty of the moment.

Please read our giveaway rules, listed below.

Thank you so, so much to all of you who recently joined us, and to all of our followers - we hope you’re having as much fun with us on Tumblr as we are!

It’s here!

We promised a book giveaway if we reached 1,000 followers and so, here it is!

Giveaway rules:

We’re giving away FOUR book packages (see above) to celebrate reaching 1,000 followers

  • The giveaway ends on August 22, 2014

  • You can REBLOG THIS POST UP TO TWO TIMES to enter, no more.  Reblogs only will count, not likes.

  • You don’t have to be following us to enter, but we’d like to be friends!  Feel free to follow us, especially if you’re into books and nerdy stuff!  But be cool and don’t unfollow right after the giveaway, we’d you to stick around!  (And NO spam blogs!)

To enter you must:

  • Live in the U.S. (We’re so sorry we can’t ship to our friends around the world!)

  • Be at least eighteen, or if under eighteen, at least thirteen and have your parent/guardian’s permission to give out your mailing address

  • Be willing to email us your mailing address so we can send you the books

  • Understand that the book packages are first come, first serve so if another winner selects the book package you wanted, we’ll let you know what’s left to choose from

Winners will be selected randomly by using random.org

Once the giveaway is over, we will announce the winners in a post and tag you.  Your ask box must be open because we will also contact you that way.  If you don’t respond by messaging us on Tumblr or emailing us at pplrefstaff@pickeringtonlibrary.org by August 25, we will have to draw a new winner.

Please don’t repost this to giveaway blogs or anything like that – we’re running an honest, fun giveaway, so please help us keep it this way.

Thank you for celebrating 1,000 followers with us!

blaine-bonerson:

there’s a little bit of magic, everybody has it
there’s a little bit of sand left in the hourglass

There is this odd trend
of taken women
saying they are too much,
and how the men they love
are amazing for dealing with them.

Love should not be a responsibility.
You should not have to deal with me.
Just because a woman is wild
and free
does not mean she is difficult.
He is not a martyr for loving me
through the good
and not so good.

Some mornings I will wake up swinging,
you do not get a gold star
for still loving me.

Some mornings I will wake up like a lamb,
you do not get a gold star
for loving me.

I am not a hurricane of a girl,
you always have the chance to leave.
